Pope, Speaks to Other Religions

Benedict XVI spoke to the world religions today at the John Paul II cultural center. Benedict said "We propose Jesus Christ..." as opposed to "We Proclaim...". I suspect he will come under criticism for this and other statements he made. I do want to point out one simple observation, and I make it without pride or arrogance.
Benedict the XVI sat upon a throne in front of the assembled "rest of the religions" of the world, and addresed them. He was polite. He greeted them all, accepted gifts, and gave gifts in return. But the symbolism was very clear.
